Borough 2: Bacongo
Municipality 2 Bacongo has a surface area of 7.39Km2 for a population of 80000 inhabitants. It is bounded to the North by Municipality 3 Poto–Poto, to the South and the East by River Congo and to the West by Municipality 1 Makélékélé.

Historical background
Municipality 2 Bacongo was created by Presidential decree N°2624 of 31 December 1943, by the Governor General of French Equatorial Africa (FEA) Felix EBOUE. It was known at the time as Commune Indigène de Bacongo –CIB- (Bacongo Indigenous Council) made up of three small villages namely Bakongo village (Dahomey) towards the de Gaulle square, Liberté village towards Mbama Mpissa and Loanga village in Moukoundzi – Ngouaka.

The Mayor’s office of Municipality 2 Bacongo, has two types of services which are:
